Role overview
The Senior Sourcing Analyst partners with business leaders and sourcing management on category strategies supporting quality, service, and cost objectives.
The role drives sourcing initiatives from analysis and supplier evaluation through negotiation, implementation, and performance monitoring.
Strategic sourcing and analysis
- Execute sourcing projects, competitive RFx events, and quotation requests, including requirements gathering, analysis, bid documents, proposal evaluation, negotiation support, and implementation.
- Support category strategies, supplier evaluations, recommendations, implementation planning, and sourcing outcome measurement.
- Support supplier agreement development and negotiation; coordinate with Legal and business stakeholders on approved terms.
- Monitor supplier compliance with pricing agreements, service commitments, and contractual obligations.
- Analyze spend, pricing, demand, cost scenarios, and suppliers to identify savings opportunities.
- Track realized savings and cost avoidance with Finance; monitor sourcing-influenced ledger accounts and address spending variances.
Stakeholders and supplier relationships
- Coordinate with business owners and cross-functional teams, provide status updates and analyses, and follow up on decisions and implementation actions.
- Build relationships with supplier leaders and communicate company initiatives, KPIs, and business requirements.
- Coordinate resolution of escalated product, service, delivery, and operational issues for field teams.
Operational support
- Maintain supplier, item, contract pricing, catalog, sourcing, documentation, reporting, and action-tracker records in applicable systems.
- Coordinate item setup, pricing, supplier information, field communications, and implementation for new product introductions.
- Work with suppliers and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing errors, credits, and documentation issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, purchasing, or a related field.
- Experience supporting sourcing projects, supplier coordination, data analysis, pricing or catalog maintenance, and cross-functional business requirements.
