We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable **Sommelier** to join our team.
You will be responsible for managing our wine program, assisting guests with selections, and enhancing our food and beverage offerings through expert knowledge and service.
Key Responsibilities
- **Guest Experience:** Recommend and pour wines, pairing them with the menu based on guest preferences and budget.
- **Wine List Management:** Curate, update, and maintain a diverse and profitable wine list.
- **Inventory & Purchasing:** Oversee wine inventory, manage cellar storage, and negotiate with vendors.
- **Staff Training:** Educate service staff on wine knowledge, pairing suggestions, and service techniques.
- **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including age verification.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a similar role within a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality setting.
- Deep knowledge of different wine regions, grape varieties, and vintages.
- Certification from recognized bodies is highly desirable.
- Strong sales skills and the ability to engage with guests.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
