Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop account strategies with Sales and other partners to grow platform usage.
• Establish Databricks Lakehouse architecture through technical account planning.
• Build and present reference architectures and demo applications for prospects.
• Consult on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science or machine-learning projects.
• Prove Databricks technology in strategic customer projects and validate integrations with cloud and third-party applications.
• Promote Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas through developer communities, meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Represent customer needs and build customer engagements with Databricks teams and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting, with expertise in at least one listed technology area.
• Expertise in at least one of big data engineering; data warehousing and ETL; data science and machine learning; or data applications.
• Translate customer business needs into technology solutions and establish stakeholder buy-in.
• Design, architect, and present data systems for customers and manage delivery of production solutions.
• Fluency in SQL and database technology.
• Debugging and development experience in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, or R.
• Cloud-provider solution experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is desired.
• A degree in a quantitative discipline is desired.
• Travel to customers in the region up to 30% of the time.

Pay range

• Canada pay range: CAD 185,000–225,000. The description does not specify a pay cadence.
