Software Test Engineer

Role Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Identify, thoroughly document, track, and monitor bugs.
• Perform regression testing after bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
• Work with developers and product managers to identify system requirements.
• Investigate non-conforming software causes and train users to implement solutions.
• Track QA metrics including defect density and open defect counts.
• Use Generative AI and AI-assisted testing tools for test generation, test data, automation, defect analysis, and QA productivity.
• Analyze requirements with AI tools to identify edge cases, risks, and missing test scenarios.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools is an advantage.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 2-4 years of manual or automation testing experience.
• Experience in web application and mobile app testing.
• Experience with SQL databases and user acceptance testing.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to join immediately.
• Candidates presently in the UAE are preferred.
• At least 2 years of QA and testing experience is required.
• Ability to commute to or relocate to Dubai before starting is required.

Compensation

• Full-time permanent role paying AED 4,000 to AED 5,000 per month.

Workplace

• Role is based in Dubai and work is in person.
