Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Software QA Engineer located in Dubai.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer with a strong foundation in IT to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in quality assurance for web and mobile applications, as well as a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and support.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of our software and systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for web, mobile, and backend applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing, covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and security aspects.
- Use tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent for automation.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, product managers, and IT support teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
- Investigate, report, and manage bugs using issue-tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Support IT operations by participating in system validations, deployment verifications, and infrastructure testing.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and help improve testing automation and IT integration workflows.
- Monitor application performance and help troubleshoot infrastructure or backend-related issues.
- Help enforce security, data integrity, and compliance best practices across environments.
Qualifications
- Experience in fintech or testing financial applications is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Performance testing experience using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Experience with security testing and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with exposure to IT operations or support.
- Proficiency in both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Experience with testing frameworks/tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or Appium.
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC, Agile, and DevOps environments.
- Solid experience with API testing and debugging.
- Working knowledge of IT systems, including basic networking, databases (SQL/NoSQL), cloud platforms, and system monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Able to start immediately.
