Software Operations Specialist (12 month duration)

Role Overview

Quality Review and Tool Testing

• Review annotated datasets and labeling outputs for quality and consistency.
• Apply QC rubrics and classify outputs as pass, fail, or needs review.
• Document defect types, including incorrect output, regression, edge-case failure, data inconsistency, and tool deviations.
• Maintain a complete review log for every assessed item.
• Test internal tools across standard workflows and exception scenarios.
• Reproduce bugs and validate fixes with steps, inputs, and expected versus actual behavior.
• Track coverage across tools, workflows, and edge cases.

Reporting and Improvement

• Submit QC and testing logs on the agreed cadence.
• Flag urgent or high-severity defects the same day.
• Write specific, reproducible, actionable defect notes.
• Escalate cases where the rubric or test plan is ambiguous or incomplete.
• Flag recurring defects, systemic issues, and documentation gaps.
• Provide structured feedback to improve QC processes, testing methods, and documentation.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams through the Operations Lead.

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in QA, software testing, operations, content review, or a related field.
• Familiarity with U.S. roadways and driving behavior.
• Ability to apply evaluation criteria consistently across high volumes of work.
• High attention to detail and clear documentation ability.
• Clear written communication for defect descriptions, reproduction, and impact.
• Comfort learning new tools and working across technical systems.
• Reliable, self-directed ability to meet cadences and deadlines.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with mapping, 3D tools, or visual software.
• Experience reviewing text, image, sensor-data, or video outputs.
• Exposure to robotics, autonomy, or ML training data production.
• Bachelor's degree.

Compensation and Term

• Expected annualized base salary range is $87,000 to $118,000.
• This is a temporary position with a 12-month duration.
