Software Engineering Intern (2027 Summer Internship)

Role

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining secure and scalable interfaces for payload data transfer.
• Support the design and implementation of the data plane across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Participate in developing, testing, and maintaining large-scale data movement and processing pipelines.
• Contribute to observable, fault-tolerant, and reliable systems.
• Gain hands-on experience with networking devices and protocols.
• Collaborate with software, network, and FPGA engineers to optimize hybrid deployments.

Qualifications

• Currently pursue a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Have knowledge of programming languages such as Rust, C++, or Golang.
• Have an interest in systems programming, networking protocols such as TCP/IP, and distributed systems.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Exposure to continuous integration, deployment, or containerization tools such as Docker or Terraform is beneficial.

Export Control Eligibility

• The role requires eligibility for applicable U.S. Government space technology export-control authorizations, including ITAR requirements.
