Software Engineer

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy web and .NET-based applications and services.
• Lead and conduct design and code reviews for peers and junior developers.
• Participate in issue resolution and change control processes.
• Translate business leaders' strategic and financial objectives into technical specifications and applications.
• Lead architecture and design meetings for major components and subsystems.
• Develop and document designs for components, modules, and subsystems.
• Assist the Director with project task effort and resource estimates.
• Drive best practices, standards, processes, and tools.

Required Skills

• At least 4 years of full lifecycle software development experience in enterprise environments.
• Core technologies include C#, .NET Framework or ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, and web services or APIs.
• Web fundamentals include JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and XML.
• Architecture knowledge includes SOA, design patterns, and mission-critical system architecture.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is unavailable.

Preferred Skills

• Application development or integration experience with Team Foundation Server.
• Production experience with IIS 7 and SQL Server 2014.
• Security software development training.
• Automated testing tools or regression testing experience.
• Experience with open source tools and technologies.

Work Arrangement

• The role requires four days per week in the office and one remote day on Friday.

Compensation

• Pay range is $76 to $79 per hour on a W2 contract basis.
