Software Engineer (Release & Platform Engineering)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and maintain Terraform across hybrid-cloud GCP and on-premises environments.
• Develop microservices and RESTful APIs for platform capabilities and internal tools.
• Automate Kubernetes/GKE deployments with Helm.
• Improve monitoring, logging, and observability with tools such as Splunk.
• Integrate security and compliance controls into pipelines and infrastructure.
• Join on-call rotation, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• At least two years in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, plus a related bachelor's degree; equivalent combinations of education and experience may qualify.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture and Terraform; hands-on Kubernetes, GKE, Helm, GitHub Actions, microservices, and REST API experience.
• Scripting proficiency in Bash or PowerShell and experience managing monitoring/logging platforms such as Splunk.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, security scanning/SCA tools, and AI development assistants; some are listed as a plus.

Work location

• Fully in office five days a week at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, Utah.
