The role is full-time, permanent, and hybrid, based in Marlow or London.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications, APIs, and integration services.
- Build solutions with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Azure.
- Develop automated unit, integration, and API tests; support automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Contribute to technical design, backlog refinement, estimation, demonstrations, retrospectives, and peer reviews.
- Apply secure-by-design principles, remediate vulnerabilities, and support quality and security checks.
- Use logging, telemetry, and monitoring in production; investigate incidents and support root-cause analysis.
- Refactor and modernize applications, automate work, and reduce technical debt.
- Use approved AI-assisted tools responsibly and collaborate across technical teams and delivery partners.
Required experience and technical skills
- Five or more years of commercial experience developing and supporting production software.
- Software delivery experience in a UK-regulated environment is required; financial services experience is preferred.
- Strong C#, modern .NET, and ASP.NET Core experience, including object-oriented development, SOLID, and dependency injection.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs, including OpenAPI.
- Microsoft Azure experience, particularly PaaS and serverless services.
- Relational database, SQL, data modelling, Git, pull request, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, telemetry, and debugging experience.
- Secure development experience including authentication, authorization, and secrets management.
- Ability to use AI coding assistants responsibly and critically review generated work.
- Collaborative Agile delivery experience.
Additional beneficial experience
- Blazor; CosmosDB or other NoSQL/document databases; containerized applications; asynchronous messaging; distributed caching.
- Azure DevOps, Wiz, SonarQube Cloud, or Snyk experience is noted as preferred or as examples of tooling.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications and certifications are welcomed; equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
