Software Engineer - Manufacturing Data Systems

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering or another engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Skills & Other Requirements
• A self-starter with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and short deadlines.
• Ability to excel in cross-organizational, cross cultural, global team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Deep knowledge of relational database concepts and especially Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated proficiency in C# /.NET software programming environment.
• Demonstrated experience with subversion and/or code repositories such as Tortoise SVN, Git, or Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
• Working Conditions
• Normal office working conditions in a climate-controlled environment. Flexibility to support a 24/7 hours manufacturing facility. Ability to work collaboratively others both in person and remotely.
• Physical Requirements
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of times. Must be able to sit in front a computer to complete task for up to 2-4 hours at a time.
• Safety Requirements
• All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
