Software Engineer

Role overview

Work pattern

• Mostly remote, with at least two office or hub visits each month for collaboration.

What you'll do

• Engineer software, scripts and tools in a feature team and liaise with engineers, architects and business analysts.
• Produce complex, critical, high-quality software that adds business value.
• Contribute across the full lifecycle, including development, enhancement, maintenance, replacement and decommissioning.
• Collaborate to improve software engineering capability.
• Design, produce, test and implement software solutions across requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment and operations.

Skills and experience

• Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript (ES6+), React, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, testing practices and performance optimisation.
• Experience with Git, GitLab CI/CD and modern software delivery practices; Agile delivery exposure is listed.
• Understanding of front-end architecture, state management, deployment automation and cloud-hosted applications.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, work from Figma designs, troubleshoot issues and contribute to engineering best practice.
