Software Engineer

About the role

What you will do

• Own and resolve client and internal technical requests, often to tight deadlines.
• Structure technical data for complex, exotic, and novel trades so the platform can process them.
• Build and extend initialization, enrichment, validation, and document-generation layers.
• Adapt existing code, develop in-house applications including user interfaces and agentic AI tools, or design new approaches.
• Understand data flows between platform layers and downstream services.
• Onboard and integrate clients, and bring client and industry insight to product planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional projects across engineering, product, analytics, regulatory, legal, and language teams.
• Work quickly and accurately with available tools, including in-house AI tools and scripts.

What we are looking for

• Must have educational or professional experience in structured products, OTC derivatives, investment banking, or a similar field.
• Must have a genuine interest in technology and coding.
• Bring experience with or aptitude for client-facing technical support and understand technical operations in a software environment.
• Be able to collaborate across teams and lead design and subject-matter expertise on projects.
• A university degree in any subject.

Helpful skills

• Comfort with XML, JSON, API calls, and scripts for debugging application logic is helpful.
• Programming or scripting experience, particularly JavaScript, PHP, HTML, Java, XSLT, or SQL, can help.
• Agile experience, clear communication, strong organization, logical problem-solving, and attention to detail are highlighted.
• Enthusiasm for new tools and methods, including AI, is welcomed.
