Responsibilities:
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
- Help organize and coordinate AI‐related initiatives across the Equities business.
- Work with stakeholders to understand needs, clarify priorities, and help determine what is worth working on and when.
- Support planning and tracking of AI initiatives to ensure ideas move forward in a structured and practical way.
- Act as a central point of coordination between business, data, and technology teams for AI‐related work.
- Maintain a working understanding of the AI landscape, including Generative AI and traditional machine learning concepts.
- Participate in building simple proof‐of‐concepts (POCs) to test and demonstrate AI ideas.
- Help explain AI concepts in plain, practical terms and f oster a collaborative, inclusive approach to AI adoption within Equities.
Required Qualifications:
- General experience or background in AI, data, analytics, or technology‐enabled solutions.
- A genuine interest and passion for AI, with a desire to keep learning.
- Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and follow through.
- Comfort working in a team environment and partnering across functions.
- Some hands‐on experience contributing to technical work (e.g., Python, data analysis, AI tools, or similar).
- Strong communication skills and a practical, grounded approach to problem‐solving.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
- Exposure to financial services or Equities, though not required.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms or AI tools.
- Experience contributing to POCs or pilot initiatives.
- Understanding of enterprise environments and governance considerations.
