Duties and responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack features from APIs and data models through user interfaces.
- Translate customer and product-management requirements into solutions within existing frameworks and architecture.
- Own assigned application platforms as a subject-matter expert and customer point of contact.
- Recommend and drive architectural improvements; improve team processes, tooling, and delivery.
- Write maintainable, well-tested code using SOLID principles and sound object-oriented/domain design.
- Review code and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Work in Agile/Scrum, including planning and estimation; may act as scrum-team technical lead.
- Contribute to and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
Technical knowledge and experience
- Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server; frontend experience with Angular and/or React.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, IIS, Azure Functions, Kubernetes microservices, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Auth0, Visual Studio, and Jira.
- 4–6 years of professional software development experience, including full-stack work.
- Production UI experience with Angular and/or React; solid SQL Server experience; experience with Azure and GitHub-based CI/CD.
- Demonstrated SOLID principles, coding craftsmanship, ability to deliver multi-tier solutions, and comfort as a customer-facing technical contact.
- Experience leading Scrum teams, mentoring engineers, and serving as a technical subject-matter expert.
- Payments, fintech, or other compliance-heavy domain experience; Domain-Driven Design; distributed/global team experience; and MongoDB are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication and ability to handle deadlines and pressure situations.
Compensation
- Base pay range is $106,000–$150,000 per year.
- Role may be eligible for performance-based bonus or incentives.
