Join the technology team as a senior Software Engineer focused on backend systems, APIs, and data-processing tools.
Build maintainable, scalable software using Python and modern web frameworks.
The role includes autonomous delivery, mentoring junior colleagues, and influencing project technical direction.
What you will do
- Deliver significant features or small projects end to end with independence.
- Build backend systems and APIs with clean, scalable Python using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Break down ambiguous problems and solve moderately complex technical issues.
- Shape project design and architecture, considering scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Design high-performance APIs and microservices, selecting database technologies and caching strategies.
- Align technical choices with IT-function goals and departmental objectives.
- Suggest improvements to tools, workflows, and operational processes.
- Participate in Agile sprint planning and stand-ups.
- Join an on-call rotation for occasional after-hours support of mission-critical applications.
- Mentor junior team members and influence project technical direction.
What you bring
- At least 5 years of professional development experience, including specific proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Database-design experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, plus ORM tools; strong database design and query optimization knowledge involving PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker or Kubernetes containerization tools.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
- Ability to write testable code and experience with testing frameworks.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver projects end to end.
- Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research as needed.
Work arrangement
- Hybrid work model with three days per week in the office.
