Platform Team

The Platform Engineering team builds core infrastructure, tools, and shared services for Rippling's integrated products.

The team owns foundational systems that support close to 1,000 engineers and aims to provide reliable, secure, globally scalable systems.

What you will do

  • Design, implement, and test reliable backend services and APIs for core product features and business logic at scale.
  • Work across API design, data modeling, event modeling, and service performance optimization.
  • Own defined features through implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
  • Contribute to technical discovery and work across cross-functional teams.

What you will need

  • At least 2 years of professional backend engineering experience.
  • Python, Go, or a similar production language is preferred; strong relational database experience, such as PostgreSQL, is required.
  • Candidates should balance technical craft with business impact and delivery speed, adapt to changing needs, and communicate technical ideas clearly.

  • Rippling values in-office work. Employees who live within a defined radius of an office are currently expected to work in-office at least three days a week.

Compensation

  • The stated U.S. pay range is $152,000–$225,000 USD per year for US Tier 1 locations.
  • Compensation varies by location, background, and experience; the role also offers benefits and equity.
