What you'll do
- Debug data replication by investigating existing code used by customers, including very large Oracle clusters.
- Assess new Oracle release features and develop supporting capabilities.
- Build features and maintain and improve connectors, code, and infrastructure.
- Help move a high-performance client-side service to the cloud and operate it at scale.
- Develop software designs and the team's technical roadmap.
Skills and experience
- At least one year programming in Java or C; either language is an acceptable alternative.
- At least one year of cloud-environment experience using AWS, GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, CircleCI, or similar technologies.
- At least one year of infrastructure-as-code experience using Docker/Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, or an equivalent.
- Able to write performant, well-structured code, assess system designs, define project requirements, and break customer problems into engineering tasks.
- Experience working in large distributed teams.
Bonus skills
- Bonus experience includes database internals, connector design and development, advanced Java development, and setting up, maintaining, or tuning production Oracle RDBMS.
