Role overview

The AI Experience Framework team builds the platform for ServiceNow’s AI-first user interfaces.

The team uses modern Lit-based web components to create modular, reusable conversational experiences.

This role makes full-stack architectural decisions across AI integration, performance, scale, and multi-team coordination.

The technical scope includes a server-rendered Lit runtime, versioned request routing, isolated execution pools, and the ServiceNow Glide platform layer.

What you will do

  • Build clean, scalable, reusable code and follow engineering practices such as code reviews and unit testing.
  • Partner with product owners to understand requirements and own code from design through implementation, test automation, and delivery.
  • Design software customers can extend and customize.
  • Help design and implement products and features and enhance the existing product suite.

Qualifications

  • Experience considering or integrating AI into work processes, decisions, or problem-solving.
  • 2+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language.
  • Interest in JavaScript, the web platform, reusability, and componentization.
  • Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance or scale considerations.
  • Experience with a modern UI framework such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Analytical and design skills.
  • Working knowledge of IDEs, debuggers, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, and system administration or Unix tools.
