Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to work on a contract basis.

The role involves designing and implementing scalable backend systems to support high-traffic applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and related frameworks.
  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for large-scale applications.
  • Implement and maintain APIs, databases, and microservices architecture.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments to ensure uptime.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
  • Proficiency in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and integration with frontend systems.
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
  • Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached) and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage multiple priorities.
