Role Overview
Join the Guest and Loyalty Domain team, which powers loyalty-program and guest-engagement data systems.
Contribute across the development lifecycle by analyzing complex problems and building platform solutions.
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager of Software Engineering on a team of 5–7 engineers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user stories and develop secure, maintainable Java code with Spring frameworks.
- Use AI tools such as Copilot and Claude to improve productivity and code quality.
- Contribute to design discussions, peer reviews, and integration testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and AWS cloud deployments.
- Monitor and debug production systems using Prometheus and OpenSearch.
- Partner with QA on validation and test planning.
- Participate in a rotating production on-call schedule.
Experience and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of Java 8+ development experience with Spring REST, MVC, and Security.
- Hands-on AWS or other cloud-environment experience.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, REST API patterns, and Bitbucket or Git workflows.
- Comfort with Java IDEs, Maven or Gradle, secure coding, logs, monitoring tools, and SQL.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and debugging skills.
- A curious, growth-oriented mindset and interest in AI-powered developer assistants.
