Testing and collaboration

• Design test suites, plans, and test cases for product features.
• Execute manual and automated tests and contribute to quality assurance.
• Identify, investigate, and document software defects.
• Gain experience in functional, regression, performance, and usability testing.
• Collaborate with developers and site reliability engineers to troubleshoot issues and validate fixes.

Team context

Candidate qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in computer science, software development, computer engineering, or a related field and eligible for a university co-op or internship program.
• Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java, C++, Go, JavaScript, or Bash.
• Understanding or coursework in operating systems, networking, and cloud platform architecture.
• Familiarity with virtualization, hyperconvergence, or containerization, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Coursework, projects, hackathons, or hands-on experience related to testing, test automation, or QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; curiosity, ownership, and desire to grow.

Work arrangement

• The role is based on-site in Vancouver, with in-person collaboration at the R&D site.

Pay

• Expected base pay at commencement is CAD $30–$35 per hour.
• Pay may vary based on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience; other compensation and benefits may apply.

Work authorization

• Nutanix does not assist with work permit or permanent residence applications, including provincial nomination.
