Role overview

NTT DATA is seeking a Software Development Senior Analyst in Brampton, Ontario.

The role assesses IPT and AMP databases and delivers an automated data archive and purge framework, from technical assessment through deployment and handoff.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Assess IPT and AMP database structures, data volumes, and dependencies.
  • Work with IT, application support, database, infrastructure, and business teams to define retention, archive, and purge rules.
  • Design and develop an automated archive and purge framework for IPT and AMP applications.
  • Ensure archived information remains retrievable for business, operational, and audit needs.
  • Implement logging, monitoring, error handling, reconciliation, and audit controls.
  • Test data integrity and confirm the solution does not affect active application functionality.
  • Support performance testing and validate expected database performance improvements.
  • Develop deployment, rollback, and operational support procedures; deploy to production and support stabilization.
  • Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to the internal support team.

Basic qualifications

  • Strong SQL and database development experience.
  • 5+ years working with large transactional databases.
  • 5+ years designing or implementing data archival and purge solutions.
  • 5+ years with scripting or application development.
  • 5+ years with database performance optimization and production deployment.
  • Ability to take a solution independently through technical assessment, design, development, testing, deployment, and handoff.

Nice-to-have experience

  • SQL Server and/or Oracle experience is nice to have.
  • Enterprise application experience is nice to have.
  • Experience in high-volume supply chain or transportation environments is nice to have.
