Role Description
The Software Development Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with the flexibility to work both onsite and from home.
This role involves overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that support the firm’s accounting, finance, and consulting services.
The manager will lead and mentor a development team, define technical direction, review code and architecture, and ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating project timelines, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, managing distributed systems and integrations, and ensuring that deliverables meet business and regulatory needs.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Software Development and Software Design, with experience building scalable, secure applications.
- Demonstrated Team Leadership skills, including mentoring, performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
- Proven Project Management capabilities, such as planning, prioritization, and managing cross-functional initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with Distributed Systems, microservices, or cloud-based architectures.
- Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with financial or professional services environments is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup, managing time and priorities across onsite and remote work.
