Role Summary
Foxit seeks a Software Development Engineer with three to five years of experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting scalable enterprise applications.
The role focuses on Java fundamentals, traditional Java web technologies, Spring-based development, backend services, APIs, databases, caching, and production troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Struts, JSP, and Servlets.
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Work with MySQL, including query optimization and performance tuning; manage Redis/Valkey caching and sessions.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Apache Tomcat applications and resolve production issues.
- Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and follow software development best practices.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and engineering teams across the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to scalable, reliable, high-performing enterprise applications.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Three to five years of professional Java/J2EE application development experience.
- Strong Core Java knowledge covering OOP, collections, multithreading, and Java 8+ concepts; hands-on Spring Framework and Spring Boot experience.
- Experience with Struts, JSP, Servlets, Apache Tomcat, REST APIs, microservices, MySQL, and SQL performance.
- Knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and experience with Redis/Valkey for caching and session management.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle, Git, and JUnit; strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- AWS experience, Docker and Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and SaaS or high-availability application experience are additional listed qualifications.
