Role overview

Build AI-powered components and features for Amazon Private Brands Central (PBC), a product lifecycle management platform.

Work across the software lifecycle, from customer needs and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.

Embed generative AI and agentic capabilities in sourcing, quality, sustainability, and detail-page workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable PBC platform components, translating functional and technical requirements into maintainable code.
  • Contribute to design, code review, testing, deployment, and operational support; investigate operational issues and address root causes.
  • Build customer-facing experiences and backend services supporting sourcing, quality, sustainability, and detail-page workflows.
  • Work with engineering, product, APB stakeholders, and the third-party PLM vendor to deliver solutions.
  • Evaluate and integrate generative AI, automation, and other tools to improve productivity, code quality, and product-development workflows.

Team and platform

The team builds PBC modules to accelerate new-product development and reduce dwell time for Amazon Private Brands processes.

Examples include supplier sourcing RFQs, automated sustainability and quality claims, and ASIN and detail-page creation.

The team is integrating PBC with a third-party PLM solution.

Basic qualifications

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Preferred qualifications

  • At least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering complex software systems to customers, or developing and deploying production LLMs on GPUs, Neuron, TPU, or other AI acceleration hardware.
  • Experience in similar environments or working with and managing third-party vendors.

Compensation

  • Base salary range is CAD 114,800 to CAD 191,800 annually for Vancouver, British Columbia.
  • Total compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Benefits include health insurance, RRSP, DPSP, and paid time off.
