Software Development Engineer, Agent Labs

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex software solutions for AI-agent systems across design, code, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Lead and mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Define product requirements, technical specifications, and architectural designs with stakeholders.
• Identify root causes of operational issues and balance feature work with operational improvements.
• Document architecture, implementation details, and operational procedures.

Basic qualifications

• At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience programming in at least one software programming language.

Preferred qualifications

• At least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

Compensation

• The listed base salary range for Vancouver, British Columbia is CAD 114,800–191,800 annually.
• Total compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units; final compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location.
