Why This Role

What You Will Do

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, run code reviews, and foster a collaborative learning culture.
• Design and build cloud-native microservices using Java and Spring Boot, including robust REST APIs.
• Own the lifecycle from requirements through design, implementation, testing, and release.
• Improve performance, security, reliability, and scalability through observability, resilience patterns, and load or performance practices.
• Partner with product teams to shape scope, manage timelines, surface risks, and deliver value iteratively.
• Enable CI/CD and modern DevOps practices for safe, repeatable releases.

What You Will Bring

• At least 6 years of Java development experience, including at least 2 years leading or coaching engineers.
• Strong Java and object-oriented programming skills with deep Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and RESTful services experience.
• Hands-on cloud-native architecture, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration experience.
• Experience with API design and integration, plus familiarity with secure coding and performance tuning.
• Clear communication, problem-solving ability, and a passion for mentoring.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure or another major cloud.
• Exposure to DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Git, and agile ways of working.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
