Role Overview
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, enhancing performance, and supporting reporting needs using MySQL and MSSQL.
You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to build scalable, high-quality applications while ensuring strong code performance, maintainability, and reliability.
This is a primarily desk-based role within a collaborative engineering environment.

Job Description
This role is responsible for developing and maintaining web applications, enhancing performance, and supporting reporting needs using MySQL and MSSQL.
You’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and fellow engineers to build scalable, high-quality applications while ensuring strong code performance, maintainability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new features using PHP
- Optimize and refactor existing code for performance and maintainability
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement scalable architecture
- Support reporting and data-related requests using MySQL and MSSQL
- Maintain awareness of evolving technologies and development best practices
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on PHP development experience
- Strong understanding of PHP fundamentals and backend development
- Experience working with relational databases (MySQL preferred)
- Familiarity with Linux server environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, etc.)
- Experience building APIs and microservices
