Role Overview

Location

• This is a remote position for applicants located within Ontario.
• The successful candidate must be able to attend quarterly kickoffs in Toronto.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, plan, and deliver new software products, capabilities, and features.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code with well-structured automated tests.
• Collaborate on iterative, customer-focused projects and help maintain system health and stability.
• Give empathetic feedback and improve engineering standards, tools, and practices.
• Work may include product features, data pipelines, search algorithms, question-answering strategies, and data-mesh infrastructure.

Skills And Experience

• At least 5 years of backend software development experience.
• At least 2 years of TypeScript backend development experience.
• Experience at a software product company.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience delivering significant initiatives involving multiple developers.

Technologies

• Technologies include Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Apache Kafka, Postgres, Pinecone, and Elasticsearch.
• The stack also includes OpenAI, LLMs, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, Datadog, React, HTML, and CSS.
