Overview

Soft Services Specilitist is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of soft services operations, including cleaning, housekeeping, waste management, pest control coordination, landscaping support, and associated hygiene services.

The role ensures service quality is maintained to the highest standards in compliance with contractual requirements, health & safety regulations, and client expectations across assigned facilities in the UAE.

Operations Management

  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily soft services operations including cleaning, housekeeping, and waste management
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to ensure service standards are consistently met
  • Prepare and implement weekly and monthly cleaning schedules aligned with site requirements
  • Monitor and control the use of cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment to minimise wastage
  • Ensure all COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) protocols are followed when handling chemicals
  • Oversee deep cleaning, periodic cleaning, and specialist cleaning programmes

Team Leadership & Staff Management

  • Supervise, motivate, and manage a team of cleaners, housekeepers, and support staff
  • Conduct on-the-job training, inductions, and toolbox talks for new and existing team members
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, and conduct, escalating issues to the Facilities Manager as required
  • Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure full operational coverage including weekends and public holidays
  • Identify training needs and support career development of team members

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Apply BICS cleaning standards, methodologies, and best practices across all areas of operation
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, cleaning logs, incident reports, and chemical usage
  • Ensure full compliance with UAE health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Conduct and record risk assessments for all cleaning activities and equipment usage.
  • Liaise with the HSE team to ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times
  • Support and prepare for client audits, regulatory inspections, and quality review meetings.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client representatives regarding soft services on site
  • Respond promptly to client requests, complaints, and service queries, ensuring timely resolution
  • Participate in client review meetings and provide operational reports as required
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, tenants, and building occupants.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports for management review
  • Document and report all near misses, accidents, and incidents in line with company procedures
  • Maintain accurate staff records including training certificates, attendance, and performance records
  • Support the preparation of method statements and work procedures for specialist cleaning tasks

Essential

  • BICS (British Institute of Cleaning Science) Certification — mandatory
  • Diploma in Cleaning Science (DCS) or equivalent BICS qualification preferred
  • Knowledge of BICS work study, cleaning methods, and environmental services
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in soft services or facilities management.
  • Minimum 4 years in a supervisory role within a soft services environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, colour-coding systems, and COSHH compliance.
  • Familiarity with UAE HSE standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken); or other languages are an advantage.
  • Computer literate — able to use MS Office, email, and FM software/CAFM systems

Desirable

  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health & safety qualification
  • Experience working in large commercial, retail, healthcare, or hospitality environments in the UAE
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems
  • First Aid certification
  • Experience with pest control, landscaping, or waste management coordination.

Working Conditions

  • Standard working hours: 8–10 hours per day, 6 days per week (or as per site requirements)
  • May be required to work shifts, nights, weekends, and public holidays based on operational needs
  • Work is primarily on-site and may involve physical activity including standing, walking, and lifting
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform or demonstrate all soft services tasks as required
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, equipment noise, and varied indoor/outdoor environments
  • Pay: AED10,000.00 per month
