SOFA MAKER UPHOLSTER

**Location:** Dubai, UAE

Job Responsibilities

• Make new sofas, majlis seating, chairs, beds, and custom furniture.
• Cut, stitch, and fit fabric, leather, velvet, and other upholstery materials.
• Measure furniture accurately before cutting materials.
• Install foam, cushions, webbing, springs, and upholstery accessories.
• Repair and re-upholster old sofas, chairs, and furniture.
• Replace damaged fabric, foam, and leather when required.
• Assemble and finish furniture according to customer requirements.
• Ensure clean stitching, proper fitting, and high-quality finishing.
• Use upholstery tools and machines safely and correctly.
• Follow production schedules and complete work on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workshop.
• Work with the production team and follow supervisor instructions.

Requirements

• Minimum **2 years of experience in the UAE furniture industry**.
• Experience in sofa making and upholstery work.
• Knowledge of fabric cutting, stitching, foam fitting, and furniture finishing.
• Ability to work with different upholstery materials including fabric and leather.
• Good understanding of furniture measurements and design drawings.
• Ability to identify and solve upholstery and fitting issues.
• Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment.
• Responsible, hardworking, and punctual.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in custom-made sofas and majlis furniture.
• Experience in furniture repair and restoration.
• Knowledge of modern upholstery techniques and materials.
• Ability to operate sewing machines used in upholstery work.
