In Qatar’s evolving regulatory landscape, ensuring the future security of our workforce is a top priority. We need a detail-oriented professional who can master the nuances of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) requirements while maintaining impeccable financial records.

The Role: Social Security Contributions Accountant

This role is essential for maintaining our commitment to our employees and ensuring full compliance with Qatari labor and social insurance laws. You will be the guardian of contribution accuracy and the primary liaison for social security audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribution Management: Calculate, process, and reconcile monthly social security contributions for eligible Qatari and GCC national employees.
  • GRSIA Liaison: Manage the "Tamas" portal for all registrations, terminations, and monthly contribution submissions to the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority.
  • Payroll Integration: Work closely with the HR and Payroll teams to ensure salary changes, allowances, and bonuses are correctly reflected in contribution bases.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay ahead of updates to the Qatar Social Insurance Law (including the latest 2022/2023 pension law updates) to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Reporting & Audit: Prepare detailed schedules for internal and external audits, ensuring that all social security liabilities are accurately accrued on the balance sheet.

Who You Are

  • The Specialist: You hold a Degree in Accounting or Finance. Deep knowledge of the Qatar Social Insurance Law is mandatory.
  • The Expert: 3+ years of experience in accounting or payroll within Qatar, with a specific focus on GRSIA or pension fund contributions.
  • Systems Proficient: Experienced in using ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) and a master of the GRSIA online portals.
  • Detail-Focused: You understand that when it comes to social security, a 1% error is not an option.
  • Communicator: Professional fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is highly preferred to facilitate communication with government authorities.
