Overview
- We’re not looking for a unicorn or for the “top 1%” and we’re not going to ask you to be a social media strategist, videographer, copywriter, graphic designer, community manager, and paid media buyer all rolled into one underpaid human.
- We’re looking for a real person who genuinely loves social media.
- Who we Are
- Comms& is a boutique communication and marketing consultancy.
- We work with brands that have something worth saying, and we help them say it well.
- We’re a small, sharp team, which means your work won’t disappear into a 30-slide deck nobody reads.
- What you'll actually do
- You’ll own the social media presence for a portfolio of clients: planning, creating, scheduling, publishing, and reporting on content across platforms.
- Some days that’s writing captions that stop the scroll.
- Other days it’s pulling insights from analytics and figuring out what worked and why.
- You’ll collaborate closely with our strategists, and clients to make sure every post has a purpose beyond “we haven’t posted in a while.”
- Day to day, that looks like:
- Developing and managing social media content calendars across platforms (LinkedIn, Substack, X, Instagram, and whatever launches next week)
- Writing copy that sounds like a human wrote it, because one did
- Collaborating with designers on visuals that match the brief
- Community management: responding, engaging, and knowing when a comment needs a reply versus when it needs escalation
- Tracking performance, pulling reports, and translating numbers into real insights
- Contributing ideas to campaigns and strategies. Your perspective matters here
- Who you are
- You have 2 to 5 years of experience in social media management.
- Agency, in-house, or freelance.
- You
- understand the difference between a post and a strategy, and you care about both
- You write well. Not “award-winning novelist” well and no AI slop. Clear, sharp, on-brand, and using AI to enable you and help with structuring
- You’re organised enough to juggle multiple clients and deadlines without things falling through the cracks
- You’re comfortable with analytics tools and reporting, and while you'll be assisted with an AI analytics tool, you'll need to scrutinize the insights and provide actionable recommendations
- You’re curious: algorithms change, platforms shift, and you keep up because you’re genuinely interested
- You can take feedback without taking it personally, and give it without making it weird

- Expertise in every single platform ever created
- The ability to thrive in chaos, we prefer to just not have chaos
