Slitter Assistant Operator

- Learn how to operate slitter and the rewinder as a member of the Production Team who is multi-skilled and cross-trained on all department process equipment.
- Develop process trouble shooting including visual defect detection & read and understand work orders for current jobs and upcoming jobs including specifications.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, SAP/ PDC functions for jobs and perform quality checks and make slitter and rewinder adjustments during start-up.
- Perform quality checks and periodically throughout the run and adjust the slitter accordingly to ensure zero defects to the customer.
- All other duties appropriate to the position as assigned or required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and the a bility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic knowledge of computer software and functions, including PDC and SAP functions.
- Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Medical Dental Vision 401K Plan
