Role Overview
The Skincare Trainer is responsible for delivering effective training programs that strengthen product knowledge, skincare expertise, and selling skills across retail teams.
This role ensures Beauty Advisors are confident in recommending skincare routines, understanding ingredients, and converting customers through strong consultation and product storytelling.
The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable in skincare (especially Korean skincare), an engaging communicator, and passionate about training teams to drive performance and results in a fast-paced retail environment.
1. Training Strategy & Development
- Develop and execute training plans aligned with brand priorities and product launches
- Translate product knowledge into simplified, high-impact training modules
- Define key learning objectives for BAs across skincare categories.
- Ensure consistency in training messaging across all brands and categories.
- Continuously update training materials based on trends, launches, and feedback.
2. Product & Brand Education
- Deliver in-depth training on skincare products, ingredients, and routines
- Educate teams on key actives.
- Explain product benefits, USPs, and differentiation in a competitive market
- Train BAs on how to recommend routines based on skin concerns
- Support launch education for new products and collections
3. Field Training & Store visits
- Conduct regular in-store training
- Identify knowledge gaps and provide targeted coaching
- Support store teams during launches and key activations
- Ensure consistent execution of skincare knowledge across stores
4. Training Planning & Execution
- Plan and schedule training sessions based on business needs
- Support new product launch training and onboarding
- Ensure all teams are aligned on key product messages and usage
5. Performance & Feedback
- Monitor training effectiveness through store performance and feedback
- Conduct knowledge checks and follow-ups
- Continuously improve training approach based on results
Sales Team
- Understand store performance and sales gaps
- Focus training on improving weak categories
Trade Marketing / Merchandising
- Align on in-store displays and promotions
- Ensure BAs understand how to sell what’s highlighted in-store
Store Managers / Retail Teams
- Get feedback on BA performance
- Identify training needs per store
Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in skincare training or beauty retail
- Strong knowledge of skincare products, ingredients, and routines
- Korean skincare knowledge is a must
