Role Description
Providing comprehensive mechanical engineering supervision throughout the entire project lifecycle, from design review and construction oversight to testing, commissioning, regulatory approvals, and successful project handover.
Key Requirements
1.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2.
Minimum 5 years of experience in residential construction projects (villas, buildings, or housing developments) with at least 2 years of GCC Experience.
3.
Proven experience in site inspection, supervision, and reporting.
4.
Good understanding of QA/QC standards and site safety regulations.
5.
Proficient in preparing reports, maintaining records, and documenting site progress.
6.
Good communication skills in English.
7.
Willing to work in the United Arab Emirates.
Qualifications
- Responsible for all site supervision and performing the daily inspections.
- QA/QC auditor's control, assuring a steady and flawless performance for the Contractor and issue the required site memorandum, Non-conformity Reports and all other related control forms.
- Review all Shop Drawings for Mechanical / activities as follows:
- Drainage System, Water Supply System, Storm Water System, HVAC, LPG System, Water Feature (Swimming Pool Fountain), Fire Fighting System, Smoke Management System, Irrigation System, Elevators & Escalators, Kitchen & Laundry Equipment
- Reviewing Coordination Drawing and Sub Contractor submittal.
- Snagging and de snagging.
- Participating in all handing over Procedures.
- Follow up and review the Contractors' closing out documents.
- Review & approval part of Submittal related to Mechanical Works based on specification and other contract documents.
- Follow-up on Progress of Mechanical Work at the Site and how well they conform to the Specifications of the Project.
- Carry-out the inspection for Mechanical activity (Inspection Requests) and solving any discrepancies at site.
- Checking prices Breakdown for MEP items.
- Issue the required Site Memorandum, NCR, Field Memorandum, when needed.
- Attending Progress Meeting, Technical Meeting, MEP Meeting, QA/QC Meeting, Value Engineering Meeting & Preparing MEP Weekly Meeting and Technical Meeting.
- Carry-out the inspection for the related materials supplied to the Site.
- Carry-out the Tests for some material.
- Follow up Mechanical Works with Local Authorities as Transco, ADWEA, ADSSC, Civil Defense & Tabreed & Food Control Department and Garden Department.
- Prepare all modification and designing of Mechanical Drawings, if required.
- Reviewing the Contractor’s Monthly Payment base on actual work progress and discuss with QS section.
- Coordination mechanical drawings with internal design.
- Check daily report, monthly report submitted by Main Contractor.
- Inspection and approval of all mock-up on site.
- Check and inspection of Method Statement of mechanical & plumbing activities.
- Testing and commissioning for all mechanical activities and handing over to concern authorities.
- Monitoring of safety issued on the site
