Team and internship

The Video and Edge Global Engineering team builds customer-facing capabilities and cost efficiencies for video-on-demand and live-streaming platforms.

The team develops video transmission networks, multimedia processing platforms, data and analysis capabilities, and operational improvements.

The internship begins in January 2027 and provides students with industry exposure and hands-on experience.

Role responsibilities

  • Build global infrastructure for multimedia transport, storage, and processing for users worldwide.
  • Support production systems through monitoring, on-call emergency response, capacity planning, and optimization.
  • Build tools, automation, observability, and monitoring for infrastructure operations.
  • Improve services throughout design, deployment, operation, and refinement.
  • Use automation and other changes to improve system reliability and processing speed.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related software or system engineering background, or equivalent working experience.
  • Programming experience in at least one of C, C++, Java, Python, or Go.
  • Knowledge of networking, operating systems, database systems, and container technology.
  • Understanding of microservice architecture and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, ELK, or similar open-source systems.
  • Experience building solutions with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services.
  • Ability to work effectively in international teams across time zones.
  • Passion, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
