Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• **Site Management:**
• Supervise the daily operations of the construction site, ensuring that work progresses according to the project schedule and within the scope of work.
• **Technical Oversight:**
• Provide technical guidance on-site and solve any engineering problems or discrepancies that arise.
• **Team Leadership:**
• Manage, guide, and mentor junior engineers and construction teams to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to safety standards.
• **Quality Control:**
• Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in compliance with quality standards, building codes, and regulations.
• **Coordination:**
• Collaborate with the project manager, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure that all work aligns with project plans and specifications.
• **Resource Management:**
• Oversee the allocation of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure efficient site operations.
• **Safety Compliance:**
• Ensure all activities on-site comply with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety briefings.
• **Budget Monitoring:**
• Track project costs, manage site expenses, and work with the project manager to control and reduce costs where possible.
• **Progress Reporting:**
• Provide regular updates on project progress, including schedule updates, challenges, and milestones, to the project manager and senior management.
• **Problem Solving:**
• Identify potential issues or delays early on and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• **Subcontractor Management:**
• Supervise the performance of subcontractors to ensure they meet contract requirements and deadlines.
• **Documentation:**
• Maintain detailed records of site activities, materials used, and any changes to plans or timelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• **Bachelor’s Degree**
• in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• **10+ years of experience**
• in construction site management or site engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior position.
• **Proven experience**
• in managing large-scale construction projects, particularly in commercial, residential, or industrial sectors (preferably with experience in
• construction or real estate development
• ).
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• Proficiency in construction software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project).
• Strong understanding of safety standards, regulations, and quality assurance processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
