Site Engineer (Civil)

Role overview

Site responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and monitor workmanship, quality and construction standards.
• Check measurements and ensure work follows drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, workers, suppliers and project teams; monitor material needs and site progress.
• Identify site issues and coordinate solutions.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, take site measurements and maintain records.

Office and technical responsibilities

• Prepare and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings; assist with working drawings and construction details.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs and basic estimates; check contractor measurements and bills.
• Maintain project data and quantity records in Excel; prepare material requirement statements and comparison sheets.
• Assist with quotations and project cost calculations; maintain documentation for ongoing projects.

Required skills and qualifications

• Diploma, B.Tech, B.E. in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Practical knowledge of residential building construction; good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Ability to prepare quantities and basic BOQs and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Good site measurement and documentation skills; basic knowledge of construction materials and methods.
• Good communication and coordination skills; willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Preferred candidate

• Candidates experienced in both site execution and office-based technical work are preferred.

Pay

• The description states pay from ₹15,000 per month and also lists salary of ₹20,000+ plus applicable allowances, negotiable for the right candidate.

Work location
