Role Description
The Site Civil Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day site activities related to piling, shoring, geotechnical works, and foundation construction, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines.
The Site Civil Engineer will coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors, review drawings and technical documents, supervise site teams, and support quality control and inspection processes.
Responsibilities include monitoring site progress, resolving technical and engineering issues, preparing reports and documentation, and assisting in planning and resource allocation for civil and foundation works.
The role also involves supporting site-based testing, ensuring adherence to environmental and local authority requirements, and contributing to continuous improvement in construction methods and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation and infrastructure background, with skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design.
- Experience working as Civil Engineers on construction or geotechnical projects, preferably in piling and foundation works.
- Ability to support Planning of site activities, resources, and schedules for civil and foundation projects.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management principles and related civil engineering applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in site supervision, geotechnical or foundation contracting, and construction quality assurance.
- Familiarity with relevant UAE codes, standards, and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, civil design tools) and MS Office for reporting and documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and readiness to work in demanding on-site environments.
