Role Overview
Ascenteum is seeking an experienced Alternative Investment Consultant to be placed with a leading financial institution in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This is a full-time, onsite assignment for an initial duration of one year, with remote working in place until the regional situation stabilises.
The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in alternative investments alongside strong functional knowledge of SimCorp Dimension.
They will work directly with client teams to support the configuration, implementation, and optimisation of investment operations across a broad range of alternative asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert across alternative investment instruments, including private equity, real assets, hedge funds, and structured products.
- Support the configuration and ongoing operation of SimCorp Dimension to accommodate alternative investment workflows and data requirements.
- Collaborate with front, middle, and back office teams to ensure accurate trade capture, valuation, and reporting for alternative assets.
- Assist with fund accounting processes, ensuring correct NAV calculation, fee structures, and period-end reporting where applicable.
- Support SWIFT messaging integration and connectivity for settlement and cash management workflows.
- Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse current-state processes, and design improved operating models.
- Provide advisory support on best practices for alternative investment operations within a SimCorp Dimension environment.
- Contribute to testing, training, and knowledge transfer activities throughout the engagement.
Mandatory Skills
- Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension, specifically in the context of alternative investment instruments and portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of alternative asset classes including private markets, real assets, and multi-asset structures.
- Proven ability to engage senior client stakeholders and translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
- Experience working within an investment management, asset management, or sovereign wealth fund environment.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness and ability to relocate to or work onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the duration of the assignment.
Preferred Skills
- Fund accounting knowledge, including NAV calculation, fee structures, and investor reporting.
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards and settlement workflows.
- Prior experience delivering consulting engagements in the Middle East or within Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) institutions.
