Shopping Experience Assistant - Cashier supporting customer service and store operations at the information desk, returns and exchange desk, and Smaland playroom.
Responsibilities
- Follow cash-handling procedures; accept cash, cheque, card, voucher, and automatic-debit payments; record transactions accurately.
- Count and record the float at opening and closing and safeguard collected cash.
- Prepare returns and exchange transaction reports for account reconciliation and sales-trend analysis.
- Welcome customers, provide shopping tools and catalogues, and respond to customer needs while minimizing queues.
- Handle routine complaints courteously, follow returns and exchange policy, and refer escalated complaints to the Duty Manager.
- Use returns-desk information to identify and resolve or report product faults, safety issues, or transportation problems.
- Welcome Smaland visitors, explain admission policy, maintain child safety, and page parents when issues arise.
- Book home delivery, assembly, and measurement services, and follow up on out-of-stock self-serve items.
- Follow store system procedures and policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- At least two years of experience in a similar customer-service role.
- Ability to solve problems and address routine customer complaints effectively.
- Excellent English proficiency and strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Arabic proficiency preferred.
Workplace
- The position is based in a retail store and includes duties at the cashier, customer-service desks, and playroom.
