Role overview

Seeking an experienced Shopify Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience to manage, develop, optimize, and continuously improve e-commerce websites.

The role requires Arabic and English, with expertise in Shopify, Shopify Liquid, Shopify Plus, e-commerce performance, technical SEO, UX, integrations, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus stores, themes, custom sections, templates, blocks, reusable components, and storefront pages.
  • Work with Shopify product data, collections, variants, metafields, metaobjects, tags, and custom data structures.
  • Manage apps and integrations, including APIs, payment gateways, tracking tools, CRM, ERP, marketplaces, and marketing platforms.
  • Optimize speed, Core Web Vitals, mobile performance, and technical health; resolve bugs, broken links, redirects, crawl and indexing issues.
  • Implement technical SEO recommendations, including canonical tags, schema, meta tags, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, redirects, hreflang, internal linking, and image optimization.
  • Support analytics and tracking implementations including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, and Google Merchant Center.
  • Analyze issues, propose technical solutions, identify automation and integration opportunities, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with e-commerce, SEO, marketing, design, content, and marketplace teams; test across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Maintain clean, scalable, documented code and monitor site health, addressing urgent technical issues when required.

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional Shopify development experience.
  • Strong Shopify Liquid experience and practical Shopify Plus experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, and responsive development.
  • Experience customizing Shopify themes and developing custom Shopify functionality.
  • Strong understanding of Shopify architecture, products, collections, variants, metafields, and metaobjects.
  • Good understanding of APIs and third-party integrations; strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of technical SEO and strong understanding of website performance and Core Web Vitals.
  • Ability to independently investigate technical problems and propose solutions; strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Preferred additional skills

  • WordPress/WooCommerce experience is a plus.
  • Git and version-control workflows; Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Google Merchant Center.
  • Experience supporting multilingual and multi-country Shopify stores; CRO, e-commerce UX, international SEO, and hreflang.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, marketplace, or inventory integrations.
