Shift Manager (Thursday-Sunday Nights)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to maintain a safe and efficient workplace and ensure standard operations are followed.
• Achieve quality standards and customer satisfaction; monitor KPIs and deliver productivity, efficiency and quality targets.
• Coordinate with support functions on planning, resources and skills to deliver products to schedule and specifications.
• Use visual management and shift briefs to communicate quality, cost and delivery priorities and gather improvement ideas.
• Manage performance through appraisals, direction, coaching and motivation; manage attendance, time and task completion.
• Challenge non-conformance and implement agreed countermeasures.
• Report plant or machinery breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance technicians.
• Provide product expertise and respond to operator queries.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with health, safety, quality, environmental and company requirements.

What we're looking for

• Proven paper-converting industry experience is essential.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Knowledge of converting machinery and processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Shift pattern

• Thursday to Sunday night shift, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
