Shift Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to join us at our Equipment Management operation in Erith , supporting our customer, Morrisons. This is a fast paced, busy operation handling all returned products and equipment from their stores, it’s all about recycling and reuse! As a Shift Manager, you will manage the daily operations and associated workforce while adhering to all company and legal requirements.

This is a full time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 till 18:00.

Oversee the running of the recycling operation

Ensure that the site is utilising resource effectively, monitoring headcount, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness

Promote and develop a health and safety culture on site in line with the company’s policies

Get involved with performance management, KPI monitoring and drive continuous improvement initiatives

A warehouse operational management background

An excellent understanding of health and safety policies and procedures

Experience of leading teams, providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and creating development plans

The ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacity
