• 🏭 About the Role
• We are hiring an experienced Sheet Metal Specialist to run our fabrication cell end-to-end.
• You should be equally at home cutting flat sheet on a laser, profiling tube, forming on a CNC press brake, and bending pipe — and you should be able to take a Fusion 360 sheet metal model from flat pattern to finished part without hand-holding.
• 🔩 Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate a fiber/CO2 laser cutting system: nesting, parameter selection, gas, and quality control on cut edges
• Set up and operate a tube cutter (laser or mechanical) for round and profiled tube
• Program and operate a CNC press brake with a Delem controller — build bend programs, select tooling, manage bend allowance and springback
• Set up and operate a pipe/tube bender — produce parts to drawing, including multi-bend assemblies
• Work directly from Fusion 360 sheet metal models — review flat patterns, K-factors, and bend sequences before production
• Read 2D drawings and interpret tolerances, weld callouts, and finish requirements
• Perform first-article inspection and in-process checks; flag and resolve quality issues
• Maintain machines: daily checks, tooling care, consumables, and basic troubleshooting
• Follow shop safety standards and contribute to a clean, organized work area
• ✅ Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience in a production environment
• Proven proficiency on a laser cutting system (fiber preferred) — including nesting and parameter setup
• Proven proficiency on a CNC press brake with a Delem controller
• Proven proficiency on a tube cutter and pipe/tube bender
• Working knowledge of the Fusion 360 Sheet Metal module: flat patterns, rules, K-factors, and exporting DXFs
• Strong drawing literacy — able to verify parts with calipers, micrometers, protractors, and gauges
• Familiarity with mild steel, stainless, aluminium, and their forming behaviour
• ⭐ Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with nesting software (e.g. Lantek, Radan, SigmaNEST, TruTops)
• Offline programming experience for press brake
• Welding, deburring, or finishing skills beyond forming
• Background in aerospace, automotive, or precision tooling environments
• Ability to suggest design changes that improve manufacturability and reduce cost
