Position Summary
The Settlement Operations Analyst supports the settlement and reconciliation of resolved markets on the platform.
The analyst handles the operational steps required to close out market positions, contributes to dispute investigations, performs reconciliation activity and maintains the settlement records required by the platform's governance framework.
The role works under the direct supervision of a senior member of the Settlement Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Track markets approaching close and resolution, ensuring each is processed in line with the published settlement timeline.
- Prepare proposed outcomes for senior member review, supported by clear written rationale referenced to the underlying data source.
- Investigate and document settlement-related queries or disputes raised during the resolution window.
- Reconcile positions, payouts and balances post-settlement, completing the required reconciliation entry within the prescribed interval.
- Maintain settlement records, dispute logs and customer-claim records to the standard required for long-term retention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics or a related discipline.
- Two to three years of post-trade, settlement, reconciliation or back-office experience at a regulated trading venue, brokerage, clearing function or comparable financial-markets environment.
- Working knowledge of reconciliation, position-keeping and the lifecycle of post-trade activity.
- Demonstrable experience operating within four-eyes or dual-control workflows.
- Strong spreadsheet skills and competence with operational reporting.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to digital-asset settlement, stablecoin reconciliation or on-chain transaction monitoring.
- Prior involvement in dispute handling, customer complaint investigation or settlement-related casework.
Engagement Terms
- Full-time, on-site. Availability around event-driven settlement windows required, which may extend outside standard business hours; on-call rotation forms part of the role.
- Subject to background screening, sanctions and adverse-media checks at engagement and on an ongoing basis.
