About This Role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall ServiceNow platform architecture, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and future-ready solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices
- Establish and govern technical standards, design principles, development frameworks, integration patterns, and platform architecture guidelines
- Drive architectural consistency across the platform by promoting reusable design patterns and standardized implementation approaches
- Provide hands-on architectural leadership to delivery teams through solution reviews, design validation, and technical guidance on complex implementations
- Ensure solutions are aligned with platform capabilities, minimize technical debt, and maximize the use of out-of-the-box functionality where appropriate
- Partner closely with Service Delivery Managers to ensure successful execution of architectural standards and delivery objectives
- Collaborate with Strategy Advisors and key stakeholders to align long-term platform vision with practical implementation strategies
- Evaluate solution options, conduct architectural assessments, and provide recommendations based on business requirements, risk, scalability, and maintainability considerations
- Oversee architectural alignment across multiple ServiceNow domains including ITSM, ITOM/CMDB, HR Service Delivery (HRSD), Customer Service Management (CSM), and enterprise platform services
- Govern enterprise integration architecture, ensuring consistent API design, MID Server utilization, data governance, and system interoperability
- Provide oversight and impact analysis for platform upgrades, major enhancements, and cross-environment changes
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex architectural challenges, cross-functional dependencies, design conflicts, and platform-wide risks
- Champion platform governance, solution quality, performance optimization, and long-term sustainability of ServiceNow investments
Required Experience & Skills
- 8–12+ years of ServiceNow experience with significant expertise in platform architecture, solution design, and enterprise-scale implementation
- Demonstrated experience architecting and governing solutions across multiple ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM/CMDB, HRSD, and CSM
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow platform architecture, data models, Common Service Data Model (CSDM), and enterprise service management principle
- Strong knowledge of workflow design, platform extensibility, reusable solution frameworks, and ServiceNow best practice
- Proven experience establishing and enforcing development standards, architecture frameworks, governance models, and design principle
- Expertise in integration architecture, including REST APIs, web services, MID Servers, and enterprise integration pattern
- Strong understanding of platform performance, scalability, security, and operational consideration
- Ability to assess and challenge technical decisions, identify architectural risks, and recommend optimal solution
- Proven ability to guide development teams through complex design scenarios while balancing business objectives with platform capabilities and constraint
- Experience working within enterprise transformation programs and multi-team delivery environment
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skill
