Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The Service Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on elevators, escalators, and moving walkways in accordance with Schindler standards and safety regulations.
Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, carrying out repairs, replacing parts, and ensuring equipment operates reliably and efficiently.
The role involves conducting site inspections, documenting work performed, and completing service reports with accuracy and timeliness.
The Service Technician will also interact with customers and site representatives, provide clear updates on service activities, escalate complex issues when needed, and collaborate closely with supervisors and other technicians to ensure high service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Maintenance & Repair, with experience performing routine and corrective Maintenance on electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting equipment faults, diagnosing root causes, and implementing effective technical solutions in the field.
- Hands-on Field Service experience, including working on customer sites, coordinating with site personnel, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain a professional, service-oriented attitude.
- Vocational or technical diploma/degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- Previous experience in the elevator, escalator, or building services industry is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices and commitment to working safely at all times.
- Ability to read technical drawings, follow maintenance procedures, and use diagnostic tools and measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and participate in on-call or shift rotations when needed.
